Engage the Mission

"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations..."
Matthew 28:19

Every disciple of Jesus should be making more disciples.  Part of that is sharing the gospel with those who don't know Jesus as Lord.  FBC is committed to engaging the mission of Jesus through individual missions opportunities and as an organization through partnerships and cooperation.

As part of the Southern Baptist Convention, FBC supports thousands of missionaries, disaster relief efforts, humanitarian efforts, and short term mission trips through their giving though the Cooperative Program.  Check out some of the ways FBC engages the mission below.

How to be on Mission at Home

•Check in on neighbors to make sure they are doing okay.
•Offer to pray for someone.
•Offer to run errands.
•Share a note of encouragement.
•Send an encouraging email.
•Leave a card in your mail box for the mail carrier.
•Pick up trash around your block.
•Or come up with some of your own ideas.

Will you commit to praying for and reaching One for Christ?

Imagine the impact if every Christian had ONE person they prayed for and shared the gospel with.  We are answering the call of Jesus to tell the world about Him, and not just across the world, but across the street.
FBC collects one major missions offering each year called Christmas for Christ.  The money given goes to support missions efforts locally and all over the world. You can give at Christmas time or anytime during the year.  Consider how you might give to further God's Kingdom around the world.
