Be Like Jesus

What does it truly mean to be like Jesus? In Luke 19, we encounter one of the most surprising salvation stories in all of Scripture -- the account of Zacchaeus, a wealthy chief tax collector who was despised by his community and written off by religious society. Yet Jesus stopped for him. Called him by name. Went to his house. This passage challenges us to examine how we see the lost people in our own lives. Do we write them off the way the crowd did, or do we pursue them the way Jesus did? The central lesson here is both simple and convicting: Jesus did not come for the comfortable and the already-convinced. He came to seek and save the lost. And if we are truly following him, that same mission must shape how we live, how we spend our time, and who we make room for. There is someone in each of our lives who is, in a sense, climbing a tree just to catch a glimpse of something more. The question this message puts before us is whether we will be the ones to point them to Jesus before the moment passes.
