It's Decision Time
What does it look like to stand at a crossroads and choose between two very different invitations? Proverbs 9 places us right at that intersection, where Wisdom and Folly each call out from the highest point of the city, each promising something, each setting a table, each waiting for our response. The central message is urgent and personal: we cannot remain neutral. Every day, in every decision, we are either moving toward God's wisdom or drifting toward folly's counterfeit. The chapter paints Wisdom as a generous hostess who has spared no expense, slaughtered the meat, mixed the wine, and sent out her servants to invite anyone who lacks sense to come and be filled. And that invitation, we discover, is not merely about making better decisions or living more practically. It is a call into relationship with Christ himself, the bread of life, the one in whom all true wisdom is found. The stakes could not be higher, and the invitation could not be more open.
